Sergio has practiced law in both the public and private sectors handling contractual, administrative, corporate and litigation matters. He holds an LLM from the University of Pennsylvania, a specialization in public law, an undergraduate degree in political science and studies in business and finance.
Most of Sergio's experience is concentrated in public procurement and infrastructure. He was part of the legal team that structured the Ciudad Bolivar Metro Cable project, participated in the bidding processes for the expansion of Bogotá's bicycle lanes and served as Coordinator of the Office of Bids and Contracts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has also advised companies in bidding processes and contractual claims against the government.
Additionally, Sergio has experience in advising and representing national and foreign companies in multiple sectors such as mining, health, construction, industrial equipment, liquor and entertainment. His experience in prestigious law firms of different sizes has allowed him to have direct knowledge of the challenges faced by companies from a regulatory, corporate and contractual point of view. In addition, he has litigated in judicial proceedings in both civil and administrative jurisdiction.
